There was also a very sad thing that happened this summer. Our best friend Daisy passed away a few days after we got home from California. She had been very sick for a long time and we had to make the very difficult decision to put her to sleep to end her suffering. She was 13 years old. We buried her in the backyard and miss her very much. She was always so loyal to us and a wonderful, gentle dog.
