In May my good friend Tina (Hattie and Izzy's mom) got very ill and we found out shortly after that she had Breast Cancer. She got sicker and sicker and in a very short period of time we learned that she also had other cancers, and her prognosis was worse. Then in beginning of August, she passed away. Tina was such a wonderful friend I can't even begin to describe what a devastating loss this was for me. She has the epitome of what a true friend is and does. I will never forget the kindness that she showed me when I needed it most. I miss you Tina, and hope to see you again someday!

But a couple of times I did get to paint her face and snap a picture!
