Hanging out at JFK with donuts on an early morning departure.
First we went to Boston for a couple of days. Papa Duck got in some training on balloons from our sister in law, the awesome balloon twister!
And the kids got in some major playing time. This time they created a very interesting little play for us, about thiefs, sword fighting, and infomercials, haha.
Then it was off to the deep south for us! We flew into New Orleans and Sonic got to take this picture with one of his fav's Louis Armstrong!
We took a quick detour to check out the French Quarter. I wish we could have walked around a bit but we needed to move on. I was happy to see that things were looking just the same as prior to Katrina, even though we only saw one tiny slice.
Next stop was Baton Rouge to see Papa Duck's mom and several siblings.
Squish has two little cousins that are the same age. Here he is with T.J.
They look very pleased to see each other.
This trip was actually the first time any of Papa Duck's family had met Squish. Sad, I know.
Here they all are.
This time we got to stay with some long time friends. Here are the kids with Suzanne, which seriously adopted them as her grandkids. She was so cute with them.
And the kids still talk about going back to see her!
